Email: CReeves@gs1868.com | | | Christie Reeves has an insurance career of more than twenty-five years encompassing both the company and agency sides of the business. After graduating from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, she joined a major insurance company as a commercial underwriter trainee. She held several positions of increasing responsibility over the years including commercial underwriter, umbrella underwriter, senior large accounts underwriter, and underwriting supervisor.
Christie joined Gale, Smith + Company, Inc. in 1987, was named vice president in 1995, and executive vice president in 2001. She has served on the Agency Executive Management Committee since 2002. Her responsibilities include handling large accounts, marketing, sales, and training and development of new producers. Christie handles large accounts and works closely with clients to develop effective risk management programs for workers compensation and other lines of property and casualty coverage. She works with both clients and companies in the marketing of large accounts to develop the best program for each client.
Christie received both her CPCU and CPIW designations in 1983 and is currently working on the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation. She has taught several insurance courses and seminars including seminars on workers compensation. She has served on various company advisory boards, the Board of Directors for the Nashville Association of Insurance Women, the Board of Directors of Insurers of Nashville, and is a past president of the Middle Tennessee Chapter of CPCU. She currently serves as Secretary on the Board for the Insurers of Tennessee and as Chairman of the Insurers Education Committee.
